About Us

We have enjoyed owning dogs of various breeds throughout our lives.  In the past we bred and raised rottweiler’s.  After being interested in the mastiff for many years the time was finally right and we adopted our first mastiff, Rain.  So began our journey into the world of the mastiff.

We started attending dog shows - what fun!  In 2007 we brought home Lynnspride Black Gladiolas "Angus".  (Black Gladiolas was name of the first Black Angus Bull in Canada to sire any offspring, we thought it was a fitting name!).  Angus was our first spoiled rotten show dog.

We discovered a passion for mastiffs and decided that we wanted to make a long term committment to the breed.  In February 2008 Lazy D Tailcreek Good Luck Charm "Clover" arrived at her new home in Canada.  Then in September 2008 we added another female to the group, Lazy D Red Rock "Sedona".

In 2010 we acquired three mastiffs from our good friend and retiring breeder Lynn Storeshaw of Lynnspride Mastiffs.  We are honored to have the opportunity to continue breeding her lines and ensure that her 30 years of hard work and dedication to the breed is carried on into the future.

We take a natural approach in the care of our dogs.  Our mastiffs are fed a raw diet, receive minimal vaccines and we avoid using chemicals and pesticides.  We feel these choices will greatly contribute to improved health and longevity in our dogs.

Our goals here at Tailcreek are to produce mastiffs that are healthy, have sound temperaments and exemplify the breed standard.  We receive so much enjoyment from our mastiffs and hope we can bring that same enjoyment to others!
